Tampaksiring, fifteen minutes from Ubud
The villa sits above the river in Tampaksiring, Gianyar. Close to temples and terraces, far from traffic and noise.
Arriving
- From the airport. Ngurah Rai to the villa is about ninety minutes by car. We can arrange a private driver, just tell us your flight number and arrival time.
- By taxi app. Grab and Gojek both work in the area. Ask the driver for Tampaksiring, then send our pin and we will guide the last part of the road.
- Self check-in. Rooms have a lockbox, so late arrivals are no problem. Check in is from 15:00 and check out by 11:00.
- Parking. Free parking on the property for cars and scooters.
Scooters and drivers
A scooter is the easiest way to move around, and we can arrange hire and delivery to the villa. Wear a helmet, carry your international licence, and take the rice terrace road slowly. For longer days out, a private driver is comfortable and good value, and our team will book one for you.

Around the villa
Tirta Empul
The holy spring water temple, ten minutes away. Go early, bring a sarong, and join the purification bathing if you wish.
Tegallalang rice terraces
Twenty minutes north, best in the soft light before nine in the morning or late afternoon.
Ubud centre
Fifteen minutes by scooter. Markets, the Monkey Forest, yoga studios and a long list of good restaurants.
Gunung Kawi
A rock cut temple complex in the river valley, quiet and dramatic, a short ride from the villa.
Tukad Cepung waterfall
About forty minutes, a cave waterfall with light beams in the middle of the day.
Campuhan ridge walk
An easy morning walk on a ridge above Ubud, best at sunrise before the heat.
